Hello,

in spite of my bad simple English I am very glad to have more than 40,000 visitors here per year. This number tells me that the interest is still growing, yes even though the mainstream trend seems to go elsewhere.

As you know the AMZ products are not constructed for locomotives which are nothing else but exhibits. Long-life cycle and excellent riding qualitiy characterize an AMZ drive.

My drives are as fast as necessary like all the others of course. The real qualities appear when starting without bucking, shunting and driving in snail pace even under heavy loads. One reason for that may be the fact that I never use worm gears. The use of spur gears and bevel gears is costly but the result is remarkable.
  • all drives are made of brass galvanized either black or red.
  • power collection by ball contacts  from all driven wheels.
  • FAULHABER DC motors
  • a lubrication of the gears is not necessary, only the ball contacts somtimes need a drop of oil
The data sheets contain values concerning the minimal and maximal possible diameter of the wheels. These values depend on the position of the ball contacts within the gear box. These positions are not any, the gear itself limits a possible position. Even so, while using disk wheels the drives offer you an enormous variety for your own projects.

The data about speed and weights depend on a  friction coefficient  of 0.17 on well-kept rails. Other circumstances may cause different values. In this context the given data are only indicative.
